Your chance at a $50,000 dream holiday!

A Liebig Street travel agency is the latest Warrnambool retailer to join the campaign to promote the city centre as the South West’s premier shopping destination.

National Warrnambool Travel is offering shoppers at participating city centre businesses the chance to win a dream holiday to the value of $50,000.

National Warrnambool Travel owner Virginia Paton said she had joined the campaign to support Liebig Street traders and to help energise the street.

Ms Paton said it was great to see activity in Liebig Street and sections of the City Centre Renewal, particularly the bluestone paving,  nearing completion.

“It’s lovely and I think it will bring a lot of business back,” she said.

Ms Paton has operated in Liebig Street for the past 23 years and said the renewal was likely to attract new businesses.

“People will be thinking, ‘it looks great, I want to be in there’,” she said.

Earlier this year Warrnambool City Council announced a $1 million prize as part of the City Centre Renewal business promotion.

Since then Warrnambool’s major car dealers Callaghan Motors, Warrnambool Toyota, Clinton Baulch Motor Group, Norton Motor Group or Warrnambool Auto Group along with Ludeman Real Estate have also joined the campaign.

The car dealerships are offering shoppers a chance to win $100,000 to spend on a car or cars from any one of dealerships.

Ludeman Real Estate is offering shoppers the chance to win a home valued at up to $400,000.

Warrnambool Mayor Cr Kylie Gaston congratulated Ms Paton for becoming part of the campaign and playing a role in keeping Liebig Street busy.

“What great initiative and the prospect of possibly winning a $50,000 holiday will help generate excitement in the city centre,” Cr Gaston said.

To be in the running for one of the prizes, simply spend $30 at a participating business in Liebig or Koroit Street then keep your receipt – it will form part of your entry submission.

One of the entries will then be selected at random to take part in the draw for the major prizes. This successful entrant will be contacted before the main prize draw and will be required to attend the draw on Sunday, November 5.

Be sure to keep your original receipt, as you will need to produce it should your name be chosen at the draw.

The main prize draw will feature in an event to celebrate the completion of Zone 1 of the City Centre Renewal, which covers Liebig Street between Raglan Parade and Koroit Street.
