A high pressure system in the Bight is extending a ridge over southern Victoria. The high pressure centre will weaken during Saturday, with a broad ridge of high pressure remaining over southern parts and linking with another high in the Tasman. The ridge will strengthen over central Victoria during Sunday as hot northerly winds develop across the State. A trough developing over the continent to the northwest will move into western Victoria during Monday, bringing a cool change that will move eastwards across the State by Tuesday.
