Register your interest for Stage II design workshops

The Warrnambool community is invited to help shape Stage II of the City Centre Renewal.

The design for Stage II – Liebig Street between Koroit and Timor streets and Koroit Street between Liebig and Kepler streets – will be completed over the next six months.

To ensure the best possible design outcome Council will assemble and seek feedback from a broad cross section of the community.

It is anticipated the workshop will include a range of traders, public transport users, cyclists, all-abilities advocates and Warrnambool residents who value the city centre.

The workshop will be an opportunity to provide input and to test themes and key strategic elements which will help inform a design based on the City Centre Structure Plan and Design Guidelines adopted by Council following community consultation in 2014.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at a venue to be confirmed. The workshop is expected to comprise two separate sessions, each about two hours duration, dedicated to the Koroit Street design and the final block of Liebig Street.

Following the workshop, the design response and concepts will be prepared and the community will have an opportunity to review and provide feedback through the Warrnambool CBD website and the City Centre Renewal site office, 142 Liebig Street.

Council is calling for expressions of interest from those interested in being part of the reference group and the Stage II concept design workshop.
