Green Futures Now!


A leadership program to build knowledge and activate participation and solutions to address climate change.
It is brought to you by Warrnambool City Council and the Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning.

Open to people aged 12 – 25.

Green Futures Now involves is a series of events aimed to support young people with the climate issues facing our region and what is happening locally to mitigate, adapt and respond to climate change. Building capacity and connecting participants with avenues for action on climate change.
Participants will meet people working a range of fields whose work contributes to the transition toward an environmentally sustainable future. This will include field visits and workshops in which participants will be supported to identify and deliver their own environmental action initiatives.

The program will run on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 30 June 10am to 4pm
  • Wednesday 7 July 10am to 4pm
  • Saturday 17 July Dates 10am to 4pm
  • Fortnightly on Monday’s 4 -5 pm Starting July 12  (July 12, July 26, Aug 9, Aug 23, Sept 6)
